Well I hate to admit it, but I haven't made as much progress on the challenge as I would have liked this past week! Saturday was such a gorgeous day (a rarity this entire Spring) that I decided to take advantage of it. We went to the Penns Woods winery and sat in the sun drinking wine all afternoon. On Sunday I had a bunch of errands to run. And I made a last minute trip with my sister to visit my niece at James Madison University in Virginia. All these things delayed my plans to install the shiplap accent wall. But it is going to get done this weekend -- I promise!!
I did, however, get a few items selected and ordered, so this week wasn't a complete bust.
As much as I'd love to add a beautiful chandelier to this ro0m, a ceiling fan is really a necessity to keep it cool on all those hot summer nights that will (hopefully) soon be here! This simple white fan from Home Depot is going to replace the current outdated one. For more details, click here

I was searching for gold/brass (which I think will look fabulous against the navy shiplap wall), but I couldn't find what I was looking for without breaking the bank. So that's all I have for now! I still have 3 weeks left -- that's plenty of time to get everything done, right???
